What is the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)? The International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) is an educational framework designed for children aged 3 to 12. It emphasizes an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary approach to learning, which encourages students to explore and understand connections between different subject areas and the real world. This approach helps develop young learners into inquisitive, knowledgeable, and caring individuals.

Fairview was awarded the top IB school in Malaysia in 2020, 2021 and 2022.. Fairview’s grades have been consistently high for the last 6 years, all published on its website. You will not find a more highly recognised school that runs the IB Diploma Programme than Fairview. Fairview IB Diploma Programme is accredited by the IB every five years and our last evaluation visit was in 2019.
The programme runs physically from 7.30am to 3.30pm everyday from Monday to Friday. However, during the pandemic, classes have continued without interruption, online.
The programme is six years, from Reception to Primary 5, ages 4-11 years old.
